how was it? i love this Händel’s piece, but have only heard on record/radio broadcasts from Galou/Prina/Mingardo!
I could only listen to the Hasse after which I had to run but that wasn’t bad at all.
yay, avail for rewatch! (after i figured out the “Eng” button 😀 )
that’s good, because the Russian subtitles weren’t particularly helpful 😉
oh there s subtitles? no i was navigating the site itself and tried clicking everywhere but didnt succeed loating “archive” until i found the “Eng” switch to swap entire site to english 😉
yes, seemingly very careful (naming the characters too), in Russian… I love how in Russia there is an MC who says at the beginning who the singers are and if foreign, where they are from.
M. Ostroukhova has a very lovely tone! super enjoyable opening! (can’t wait until Händel.. but am really enjoying Hasse)
oh no, she’s not Galatea!! she with the deepest voice! (and i was quite looking forward!)
it’s ok, still very nice music, taking it a bit fast the starting duet…
she’s not? so which one of the other two mezzos was it?
I agree, it was a very secure opening 🙂 to be fair, the other two mezzos didn’t come close.
agree! and the sop and other mezzo were also a bit not quite up to the Handel’s coloratura…
